Описание: This video explains how to measure bankfull channel width -- the maximum width of a stream. These measurements are used when planning to harvest timber, build or repair forest roads or culverts, and in other forest practices. The rules protect water quality, fish habitat and other public resources while maintaining a viable timber industry. In Washington State, they are developed and adopted by the state Forest Practices Board. Implementing and enforcing the rules is the job of the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
