My Urban Altoids EDC Tin projects are always evolving, and Version 2.2 is my most up-to-date snapshot of what I personally need for daily urban commuting. This kit is not designed for wilderness survival. It is built around convenience, organization, and the types of small problems that happen in everyday city life.

One of the biggest upgrades in this version is the magnetic mounting system. Tiny magnets were added to several items, containers, and sections of the tin to keep gear locked into place and prevent anything from spilling out during travel. This version also uses micro compartments that are magnetically mounted inside the tin to keep smaller items organized and easy to access.

For this build, I also went with a TSA compliant approach. There are no knives or other restricted items included. While TSA would likely still open this tin out of curiosity, everything inside is intentionally flight-friendly.

This setup is built for my daily routine and the specific challenges of an urban environment. Everyone will have different needs, but the organizational concepts in this version can be adapted to other survival or EDC variations. Gear is personal, but good organization works for everyone.
