The Moment I Almost Quit This Hike | Part 2

Описание: Part two of our Bobbejaans River Trail hike starts where things got real.

We began this hike at Bain’s Kloof Pass, stretched as a group, and followed the rocky river path deeper into the mountains. By the halfway point, the sun was unforgiving — temperatures pushing 30°C, drinking water warming up, legs growing heavier, and the trail turning steeper with bigger rocks and no clear end in sight.
As the others moved ahead, doubt started creeping in. The sound of baboons echoed through the mountains, fatigue set in, and I found myself questioning whether reaching the waterfall and rock pools was even worth it.
My husband stayed back with me, step by step, through the hardest part of the trail — until we finally made it.

This is the raw, unfiltered side of hiking.
The heat. The struggle. The moments you want to quit — and the reward that only comes if you don’t.
