AFC Leopards chairman Boniface Ambani has urged Kenyan football clubs to invest in building their own stadiums to reduce reliance on government facilities.
Speaking to SportyFM, Ambani weighed in on the planned closure of Kasarani and Nyayo Stadiums for renovations ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) — a move that has already disrupted local league fixtures and raised concerns over major matches such as the Mashemeji Derby.
Ambani says owning club stadiums would provide long-term stability, protect teams from future disruptions, and strengthen the local game.
