Complete your final stitch and bring the needle to the WRONG SIDE of the fabric.
On the wrong side, pass the needle through the last stitch you made to create a small loop, and then pass the needle through the loop to form the first knot. Pull it tight to secure it.
Create a second knot by forming another small loop and passing the needle through it, then pulling it tight.
Once you're sure the knots are secure, trim any excess thread.
