Cheap D2 Tool Steel takes on Cheap 8Cr13MoV and both are compared to Opinel's XC90 (similar to 1095 Carbon Steel). Will the theory that Carbon Steel (whether 1095 or XC90) is the best survival sharpening steel prevail, or will D2 and 8Cr13MoV put up a fight?
