Japan Vlogs: Hiroshima

Описание: Me and my friend Ruby visited Hiroshima for a weekend while in Japan and here are some videos of what we experienced! We went to Okonomimura Street, Atomic Bomb Museum, Miyajima Island and saw Itsukushima Temple, and Shukkeien Garden.

There's also a few minutes worth of me and Ruby recounting our experience at the Atomic Bomb museum as I try to express the importance of fully understanding the WW2 experience on Japan's side, and the best way to do it is to come to Hiroshima yourself. I never realized the true extend of the tragedies that took place there until I visited Hiroshima for the first time in high school, and I wanted to visit once more now that I've learned so much more knowledge on the subject. Especially in this day and age at times of turmoil, it only takes one close look at Hiroshima to understand the importance of preventing further use of nuclear power for wars.

For those who don't know, my name is Cassie and I created this channel to document my experience studying abroad in Osaka, Japan at Kansai Gaidai University for the Fall 2017 semester for my service project because I won the Gilman Scholarship and the Freeman Asia Scholarship to help support my study abroad experience.
