Sand stitch is very similar to seed stitch, except there is a knit all row in between the two textured rows! Another beginner friendly stitch to add to your skills!
I have used the texture in my Bad Seed Sweater Pattern.
Cast on an even number of stitches, this is a 4 row repeat:
Row 1 WS: Purl 1, Knit 1 repeat till the end of the row
Row 2 RS: Knit all stitches
Row 3 WS: Knit 1, Purl 1 repeat till the end of the row
Row 4 RS: Knit all stitches
If you want to do this in the round it works the same you just don’t turn to work the WS.
