This portion of the North Country Trail was an 8.2 mile out and back section from the park lane trailhead to M-123, totaling for about 16.4 miles. I started the hike however from the Brevort Lake Campground where I had been staying for a couple nights.
During the hike I passed by Little Brevort River, Silver Creek, and Carp River. The Little Brevort River and Silver Creek both run into Brevort Lake while the 27 mile Carp River ends its path at Lake Huron.
