Head loss in pipe flow
Head of flowing water indirectly depicts the energy content of it. More the head is more the energy content will be. When water flows through the pipe then it suffers head loss due to friction exerted by the inner surface of pipe called as Major head loss which leads to energy loss. Some losses takes place due other geometric changes of pipe I.e head due to sudden change in diameter of pipe, bending of pipe, application of any fitting in the pipe etc. The details can be learnt by this easy to learn video lecture..
