CJP Gives CEC Gyanesh Kumar 48 Hours to Resign or Face Protests

Описание: Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at a press conference in Delhi, warning of a nationwide agitation if he doesn't step down within 48 hours.

The demand follows reports that two Election Commissioners had repeatedly raised objections over the centralisation of the Election Commission's electoral-roll processing system. CJP also called for an independent inquiry, a freeze on the ongoing SIR process, and restoration of the January 2025 voter roll. The Election Commission has said differences among officials are normal and that its actions remain within the law.
