2020 has been a strange year. So it feels, ironically, not so strange at all (by current standards) to tell you that for my next sewing project, I've decided to make ... a 14th century medieval gown!
It is true that I have no prior experience in sewing historical garments. It is also true that I had extremely limited knowledge of the 14th century, let alone 14th century fashion, before I started making this video.
But this is going to be an enthusiastic first attempt at historical sewing, and I'm pretty excited to get started and delve into the world of medieval clothing!
I've done my best with the research and designing that went into this video, so I hope you enjoy it - and make sure to subscribe for future videos on this project!
Next time, I'll hopefully be hunting down some fabric (and also potentially dyeing it... but that's a whole other kettle of fish!)
