Commanders' GM "Absolutely Cooked" in 2024 NFL Draft! - Kay Adams on Washington's NFL Draft

Описание: Let’s start in Washington…where I thought Adam Peters absolutely crushed his first draft as GM. With a little bit of wheeling and dealing, he was able to get 6 players within the first 3 rounds ALONE to really amp up this roster.

He of course got Heisman-winning QB Jayden Daniels on Thursday night…but followed it up with an unbelievable day 2. The Commanders snagged D-Tackle Johnny Newton, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year out of Illinois – who a lot of people had as a 1st rounder... they made a trade down with Philly to snag a couple more 2nd rounders, which they used to take our friend Mikey Sainristil from Michigan to help fix that 32nd ranked pass defense…and then they start stockpiling support for Jayden. Tight End Ben Sinnott from K-State…a much needed o-lineman in Brandon Coleman from TCU…and capped off the 3rd round with receiver Luke McCaffrey – yes, of those McCaffreys – who Matt Miller told me last week could be the steal of the draft.

Adam Peters absolutely cooked – and he knows it. Take a listen to what he had to say about his haul and just look at that smile…

That is some lofty praise for some of these rookies. And when you add this loaded draft class to what the Commanders did in free agency…they have a projected 14 new starters and have added *32* new players to this roster already. It has been a massive overhaul…and I’m telling you right now…if Jayden Daniels’ game translates to the NFL – which I think it will – these Commanders are going to be pushing for a playoff spot in the NFC this season.
