A staging area for equipment and materials, usually set up with in a parking area on the side of a neighborhood road or in a cul-de-sac is where truckloads of sand will be delivered and maneuvered while water from the lake is pumped in, to be combined with sand in a mixing trough and then simultaneously pumped out to the Geo bag location needing to be filled. A combination of water and sand is pumped into the bags and directed by hand until properly filled. This process alleviates the need for heavy equipment like skid steer machines and excavators from being driven over property and lawns potentially causing damage. Hand maneuverable pumps and piping can be put into place with no damage to property.

While the Geo bags are being filled, sand is collected in the bags while sand suet flows out that quickly settles harmlessly within the lake. When the bags are filled they are heavy and secure, capable of being walked on and driven upon with mowing equipment.

After the Geo bags are filled, they can be covered with the topsoil and seeded and or covered with sod. Over time the extended area of shoreline will blend in with the existing grass where it too can be mowed like normal.

All retention ponds water surfaces raise and lower from our summer rainy season into the dry season. During these times of heavy rain the leading edge of the sand filled Geo bags will be covered as water levels rise and will be visible as water levels lower.
