How To Prepare for the World Stage

Every year, the weekend before Thanksgiving, Traci Cooper and the Ulster Scottish Pipe Band host one of the most riveting events for bagpipers and highland drummers in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

The Pocono Workshop brings players of different levels from all over to attend classes that are taught by world winning champion pipers, snare drummers, tenors, and bass players, who have won a multitude of championships in both band circles and solo stages. These world class level performers not only teach their skill that they have strived to perfect, but inspire and work with hundreds of participants who want to achieve such skill level in order to keep the art of bagpipe music alive and well for many more centuries to come!

“A Highlander’s Dream” delves into the history of the workshop and what it is like to learn from the best players in the world, giving a sneak peek into what the class environments are like, the performances you can witness, and the powerful unity of the bagpipe community in such a unique genre of music!
