Making Custom Silver Rings in Sidemen, Bali | Agung Silver

Описание: In this video we will be making custom silver rings through Agung Silver in Sidemen, Bali. Agung Silver offers private workshop classes where you can hand make custom sterling silver jewelry from start to finish. This is a very fun and unique experience and we are really excited!

It has been raining most of the morning but after lunch, we brave the rain and walk from our guesthouse to Agung Silver which is a local silversmith in this area.

When we first arrive at the workshop, we meet Agung, the owner who has been making jewelry for nearly 30 years. He shows us several different designs and after we make our design choices, we get started!

The process takes us 4 hours and it is very hands on. After melting the pure silver, we hammer it into a square and then stretch it to the right thickness for each of our rings.

Then, we work on the designs for several hours before sizing the rings to fit our fingers. After the rings are perfectly fit to our fingers, we give them a final polish!

The workshop costs 450,000 Rupiah per person which includes 5 grams of silver. Myles' ring was a bit more expensive because it was 7 grams of silver and mine was also a bit more because we added a stone.

All in all, we felt like it was a very fair price for a custom made silver ring. It really was such a fun and unique experience to be able to watch something being hand made from start to finish AND to be apart of the process.
