A little known part of HVAC maintenance you can do as a homeowner is painting your gas line. Adding a coat of paint every few years will prevent your pipe from rusting, corrosion and strong.
Don't forget to check for pipe running through your garage as well.
We use TREMCLAD paint, any rust paint for metal will do and these are easily available at your local hardware store.
