Day 19 on the GR 65 (Via Podiensis) began as a perfect day of hiking in France. After a peaceful start at the Cahors hostel and crossing the Pont Valentré, I enjoyed the steady rhythm of the Camino de Santiago.
But the pilgrimage often tests us in unexpected ways.
That evening at the Gîte L’Étape Bleue, a simple slip in the shower changed everything. This video explores the reality of sudden setbacks on the trail, the mental challenge of uncertainty, and the resilience needed to keep going.
It’s a story about humility and adapting when plans change on the Way of St James. I’m resting and reflecting, hoping to continue towards Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port soon.
