Welcome to the colorful world of #CantoyaFest! This magical event is found in Pátzcuaro, Mexico. Every year, over 100,000 people from around the world gather in this scenic town in the state of Michoacán to witness the awe-inspiring spectacle. Over 500 giant paper balloons (cantoyas) and thousands of smaller ones soar into the sky throughout the weekend-long event.
During the Cantoya Fest event, locals and visitors from various locations all around the world come together in Pátzcuaro, Mexico, to launch their beautifully crafted paper balloons into the sky. The sheer size and beauty of these balloons are a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the artists and artisans involved in creating them.
This Cantoya festival typically occurs in the end of July in Pátzcuaro. Meanwhile other cantoya balloon fests can be found in other locations throughout Mexico.
