"Finest Wooden Shipwreck": Legendary Ship "Endurance" Found in Antarctic 107 Years After It Sank

Описание: Endurance, the lost ship of polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, has been found at the bottom of the Weddell Sea.

The ship sank over a century ago, in 1915. Shackleton had lost his ship but saved his crew.

“This is by far the finest wooden shipwreck I have ever seen," Mensun Bound, the expedition’s director of exploration, has been quoted as saying in news reports.
