The Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, Idaho, took delivery of a Grumman F9F-5 Panther jet on 29 June 2017 that the museum will restore for static display. The Panther was purchased from a private party in Texas. This straight-wing carrier-based jet is emblematic of the Korean War-era. The Warhawk Air Museum is selectively growing its collection to include jets of the Cold War era in addition to its flying collection of World War II fighters that includes two Curtiss P-40s and a P-51C Mustang.
