The Continental TKC80 tires have to be the best all around tires for adventure motorcycling.
After purchasing this 1200GS i needed to upgrade the tires as the current ones that are on the bike where old and warn down and now that spring is almost fully here I wanted to make sure that i had the right tires for the job. After looking around for which tires that would be best suited for my needs I still kept reverting back to the TKC80s. Now its a familiar tyre for me indeed and sure you dont get such a long life out of them but MY GOD are they great for all around use. I will get about 4K miles out of these tires but even knowing that i spend about 60% of my time on road except during the summer months where I will spend close to 85% of my time off road, these tires just meet every expectation I possibly can have.
