🎶 Mieczysław Weinberg – Jewish Songs, Op. 13
Written in 1944, this vocal cycle is based on Yiddish folk poetry — a poignant tribute to Jewish life, marked by tenderness, sorrow, and quiet strength.
Weinberg composed it in Moscow during WWII, after fleeing Nazi-occupied Poland, as a remembrance of his roots and the tragedy of his lost family.
