The world’s oldest mower was discovered in Motala, Sweden, at the home of Ingemar Carlsson. He became interested in the Solar Mower back in 1995 after reading about it in a newspaper, and thanks to a lucky conversation with a Husqvarna dealer at a Christmas party, he got his hands on one. It then mowed his lawn flawlessly for over a decade, sparking curiosity from neighbours who had never seen anything like it. After a major garden makeover, Ingemar let the mower take a long and well-deserved rest. When Husqvarna’s competition was launched, he entered his old lawn care partner, and it turned out it was still going strong. Congratulations to Ingemar and a mower that truly proves what it means to be built to last.
