Crumar DS-2: Italian designed and manufactured, with 2 digitally controlled analog oscillators (DCO's), 2 LFO's, and 2 ADSR's, in addition to a polyphonic string section. I was fortunate to find a rather clean (inside and out) 36 year old functional DS-2. Notorious for needing repairs, this one is close to perfectly functioning, with just a few minor issues. It had been in storage for 30+ years, and it's possible I'm the 3rd owner.
This 55 lb. beast comes enclosed in its own case. The LFO modulation mixing and routing, while limited, is where this machine shines. The layout is spacious, knobs are huge ( by today's standards) and the tear-drop shaped switches reference aircraft control panel design.
I'm not a keyboard player, but I wanted to share these sounds as functioning DS-2's seem to be rare these days.
