Description:
Four years ago, five-year-old Summer Wells vanished from her rural home in Rogersville, Tennessee. On June 15, 2021, Summer was last seen around 6:30 p.m. after planting flowers with her mother and grandmother. She reportedly went inside to play with her toys in the basement and was never seen again.
Despite an active AMBER Alert and extensive ground, water, and air searches by multiple agencies including the TBI, FBI, and local law enforcement, few clues have emerged about what happened to her. Investigators have followed up on thousands of tips, but the circumstances of her disappearance remain unclear.
Authorities are still seeking information about a potential witness: the driver of a maroon or red 1998-2000 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with a full-bed ladder rack and white buckets in the bed, seen in the area around the time Summer disappeared.
Summer Wells Physical Description at time of disappearance (June 15, 2021):
Age: 5 years old
Height: 3 feet tall
Weight: Approximately 40 pounds.
Hair: Blonde (cut short, tomboy style)
Eyes: Blue
Last Seen Wearing: A pink shirt, gray pants or shorts, and possibly barefoot.
