My first ever full set! (30 min Electronic music performance)

Описание: As this year comes to a close (thankfully) and a new Digitakt Journeys set is almost fully wrapped, I came across footage of my first ever performance which was a 30 minute set for the Palacio Palace 4/20 stream a while back. This was my first attempt at making a mixtape style set of original music (I've always had the idea of creating my own "fake" radio/mixtape show where I created all the music). The original broadcast had a hefty amount of video effects I'd added in Reaper (to hide that I am a nervous performer) but this is the straight feed without all of that.

I used a Digitone Keys and Digitakt as my main tools, with a Drumbrute impact for backing beats, and an sp404mk2 for effects and punching in samples. I programmed most of this over 2 weeks of nonstop noodling in between work and sleep and also entirely sequenced in song mode to free up my hands for parameter tweaks and improvisation. It opens up more after Track 2 i think. It was after this performance that I decided I preferred the spontaneity of working with one instrument without song mode (Digitakt) and the variations of performance that offered. I now use the rest of my equipment methodically to create and manipulate samples that eventually make their way to the Digitakt Mixtapes that I make today.
