How to Write Incredible Fiction with Claude AI

Описание: Discover the exact workflow I used to plan, write, and edit a full fiction book in just seven days using Claude AI. Perfect for indie authors and KDP writers who want to boost speed and quality.

Process is simple:
Brain dump as much as you can about your novel: plot, characters, events, setting, ending etc.
Ask Claude to 'flesh' all those things out for you. (Bit by bit if you want.)
Once you are happy with plot, characters etc, ask Claude to turn it into a Book Bible.
Take book bible and start writing chapters 1 to 5 in a new chat. Get a Master prompt at the end of chapter five (Hey Claude, give me a master prompt for a new chat, telling the new chat what we are doing and where we are up to).
Upload bible to new chat (and your last five chapters if you want (for context)) and continue writing next five chapters.
Finish those five chapters, and repeat process with next five in a new chat.
Finish book, then compile all chapters into one doc.
Read over it, edit it either in a doc, or just in Claude, by telling Claude what changes you want in each chap.
Give a few manuscript assessments in Claude to find glaring errors (Don't do this forever, because there will 'always' be mistakes).
You will need Pro or Max for this. If you do a lot, you will need Max. I am using Max at the moment. :)

PROMPTS I USED IN VIDEO (I just talk to Claude like a friend - not technical)

Prompt 1 — Initial brainstorm
Hi Claude, I'm writing a fiction book. It's going to be a YA romance set in a theme park. Got any ideas?
Prompt 2 — Switching to horror
Hi Claude, I think I'll make this a horror novel instead. It's about a guy who really needs a job to save up and take the girl he likes out on a date. YA fiction.
A bit more: he gets the job and likes it at first, but bit by bit notices something cursed about the amusement park. Things escalate, but he needs to stay because he needs the job. ETC ...
Prompt 3 — Fleshing out the idea
Hi Claude, I'm really excited about this. Here's what I'm seeing so far.
He's around 17 or 18. He needs this job because there's a girl he likes. When he gets the job, ETC… ETC…
Prompt 4 — Feeding in the full beat sheet
Hey Claude, here's everything about the novel. Let me know what you think. (Here I just either paste in everything I have so far, or just let Claude read the old chats which it will do.)
Prompt 5 — Listing characters
Claude, can you list all the potential characters in this novel, including secondary ones? Don't flesh them out yet — just give me names and how many there are.
Prompt 6 — Alternative character names
Give me another 10 names for Tess. Nothing too weird, just a bit less cliché.
Prompt 7 — Checking the setting
Claude, in a short paragraph, tell me about the setting(s) you're planning. I want to see if I need to add anything or if I'm happy with it.
Prompt 8 — What goes into the book bible
Claude, I'm ready to turn this into a book bible. Can you list all the elements you're planning to include? Then I can add anything that's missing.
Prompt 9 — Character arcs and time continuity
Claude, when you do the characters, include their arcs — where they start mentally or physically and where they end up.
Also, in each beat, make sure you know the time of day and the date so everything stays consistent. Each chapter should know whether it's light or dark, day or night.
Prompt 10 — Generating the book bible
Claude, can you create the book bible now? Make it long and comprehensive. Include as much detail as possible, especially in the chapter-by-chapter outlines, and include all the beats we talked about.
Prompt 11 — Fixing the book bible
Please fix the table of contents — they're not working. Also change the book name to The Fair That Has No End.
Prompt 12 — Renaming the book again
New name is When the Laughter Stops.
Prompt 13 — Rules for chapters (paste-in block)

Rules for chapters:

Show, don't tell.
Include dialogue in every scene.
Use internal thoughts as dialogue to break up paragraphs.
Keep the voice accessible — no jargon.
Don't waffle at the end of chapters or scenes.
Lots of paragraphs, not dense blocks of text.

Prompt 14 — Master prompt for a new chat
Claude, I'm ready to start writing. I'll do it in a new chat, about five chapters per chat. Can you create a prompt for the new chat so it knows what to do when I paste in the book bible?
Prompt 15 — Drafting
Draft chapter one, please.
Prompt 16 — Adding dialogue
This chapter has no dialogue. I asked you to include dialogue in every scene — please add some.
Prompt 17 — Spelling and editing pass
Claude, I've edited this story. Go through and fix the spelling and anything else that needs fixing so it's ready to publish. One or two chapters at a time.
Prompt 18 — Manuscript assessment
Hey Claude, give me a detailed manuscript assessment.
Prompt 19 — Logic assessment
Claude, go through the manuscript and make sure everything's logical. Check the times, days, and settings are consistent throughout.
