What do the programming of graphical user interfaces and CloudEvents have in common? In this talk, Klaus will explain why he sometimes thinks of his early programming experiences on an Atari ST when discussing event-driven architecture. Events are a powerful concept for decoupling several moving parts in software. In cloud environments, processing often happens in an asynchronous and distributed manner. Cloud services relying on each other, are maintained and developed by different parties. This requires a special focus on interoperability and makes CloudEvents an ideal fit.
