ਭਾਈ ਨੰਦ ਲਾਲ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਿਖੱ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਮੋਢੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕਿ ਦਸਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਥਾਹ ਸ਼ਰਦਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਊਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਅਧਿਆਤਮ ਗੁਰੂ, ਆਗੂ ਜਾਂ ਜੰਗੀ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਰੁਹਾਨੀ ਕਵੀ, ਮਹਾਨ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ, ਇਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਵਕਤ ਇੱਨੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ, ਕਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕਾਰ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਣ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, ਉਰਦੂ, ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ, ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਾਰਸੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ੫੨ ਕਵੀ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭਾਈ ਨੰਦ ਲਾਲ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ।

In history, Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is not only famous for being a spiritual guru, leader or war general. He was also a spiritual poet of his time, a great scholar, a great patron of knowledge and skill. Apart from Sri Anandpur Sahib, there was no other place in India where so many scholars, poets and writers gathered at the same time. There were 52 famous poets of Punjabi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Brij and Persian languages ​​in his court at that time, among which Bhai Nandlalji has a prominent place.
