Chilling New Trailer For THE NIGHT HOUSE, One of the Year's Best Horror Films [HD]

The dude is a force and has already delivered the awesome indie The Signal, not to mention the excellent and criminally under-appreciated The Ritual, which was acquired by Netflix out of the Sundance Film Festival. He's also behind one of the most memorable V/H/S segments - "I like you" - not to mention the crazy surgery sequence in Southbound. And while he's prepping a remake of Hellraiser for Spyglass and Hulu, horror fans are in for a treat with his remarkable The Night House, a supernatural horror for the arthouse crowd. The movie is a banger and one of the best of the year.

With the film set for release in just a few weeks, Disney's Searchlight has released a brand new trailer that is as spoiler-free as you can get, but still offers up a taste of how atmospheric and chilling The Night House truly is.

“The film follows a widow (Rebecca Hall) who begins to uncover her recently deceased husband’s disturbing secrets.”

Ben Collins & Luke Piotrowski (Super Dark Times, Hellraiser, SiREN) wrote the script.

“The Night House is a standout film… It’s moody and atmospheric, but above all, it’s scary as hell,” wrote Meagan Navarro in her review of The Night House out of the Sundance premiere.

Horror fans can enter The Night House on August 20.
