Описание: Otago is a region of the South Island of New Zealand whose hilly country and sheltered valleys produce a variety of climates and some spectacular scenery.
Fernzdrive is driving through the central part of Otago region from Lindis Pass viewpoint, Cromwell, Arrowtown to Queenstown. This alpine area (lindis pass) of tall, tussock-covered mountains is beautiful in every season, but with a dusting of snow it's particularly enchanting. Voted as one of the most scenic roads in the country, Lindis Pass is one of the highest highways in New Zealand at 971m (3,186ft) above the sea level, which means in winter, it’s common to see it under the snow.

The next town we will pass through is Cromwell a plentiful and picturesque wine-growing area, known for its pinot noirs crafted by the best of New Zealand's winemakers. The Cromwell Basin has become Central Otago's most important wine-growing sub-region and a center for its winemaking facilities.

Arrowtown is one of New Zealand's oldest towns. Known for its old architecture, lack of traffic, and beautiful scenery, Arrowtown is a quiet place great for escaping the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. We will also pass through Arrowtown famous street, Buckingham St.

Nicknamed as the “adventure capital of New Zealand,” Queenstown sits on the banks of the pristine Lake Wakatipu, South Island. Being on the edge of the waters gives the town an advantage of playing host to numerous activities – soothing boat cruises, power-packed jet boating, hiking, walking, bungee-jumping, skydiving, white-water rafting, and just about anything!

Undeniably, one of the most splendid towns in New Zealand, Queenstown is quaint and relaxed yet vibrant and buzzy come evening. The town streets are dotted with fine-dining restaurants and cafes and the town calendar is filled with cultural events throughout the year, including the colossal Queenstown Winter Festival.
