Man dies after Federal Way officer shoots him during attempted carjacking

Описание: A Federal Way police officer fatally shot a man Friday morning after he fled from officers and attempted to carjack another driver, authorities said.

Officers responded about 8:45 a.m. to a report of a non-responsive person seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle blocking the roadway near the 33700 block of 1st Avenue South, police said.

“I turned in, and the suspect was just sitting there facing down,” Ortiz said. “It was just very unusual because he was there for a while, and then l five minutes later, we heard gunshots."
