The Dominican Republic has opened its consulate in Uganda, aiming to strengthen trade and diplomatic ties. Allan Tayebwa, the Dominican Republic’s Consul, highlighted tourism and agro-processed exports as key areas of cooperation. However, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, John Mulimba emphasised that this move reflects Uganda’s commitment to economic diplomacy, the new order in foreign relations.
