In the stillness of the night, beneath the moon's soft glow,
A man with a radio, his heart begins to flow.
With coffee in hand and a half-eaten bite,
He tunes into the waves that travel through the night.
He's a DX-er, chasing signals in the dark,
From continents afar, he catches every spark.
From South America to the Asian seas,
His heart beats faster with every distant breeze.
From the coasts of Australia to Africa's distant shore,
Through the static and the silence, he yearns to hear more.
Central America whispers secrets in his ear,
North America's echoes bring the world near.
He's a DX-er, chasing signals in the dark,
From continents afar, he catches every spark.
From the Pacific's depths to the ancient lands,
His joy is boundless with every distant band.
In the soft light, he waits, his patience holds strong,
For that distant call, he's waited so long.
The thrill of a QSL, a confirmation so true,
A card in his hand, a dream come through.
Through the quiet hum of his trusty machine,
He dances through frequencies, in a world unseen.
Each station a story, each call a friend,
The world in his hands, no need for an end.
So he sits in the night, with a smile so wide,
A DX-er forever, with the world by his side.
With coffee and a sandwich, in the soft, dim light,
He'll chase those distant dreams, all through the night.
