Kirkland Warren Trial; Ex-boyfriend murdered Meshay Melendez and Layla Stewart - appears in court

Описание: The man accused of murdering his former girlfriend and her seven-year-old daughter in Southwest Washington made his first appearance in a Clark County courtroom on Monday evening.

Many of the family members of Meshay Melendez and her daughter Layla Stewart waited for hours for Kirkland Warren to appear in court. He was charged in the murders of the mother and daughter on Friday.

Warren was scheduled to appear at 1:30 p.m. but didn't until about 4:15 p.m.

"The entire family, all of us in that courtroom and the 500 plus people on Zoom had to endure every single case," said Michelle Bart, spokesperson for the family of Meshay and Layla. "We just revictimized an entire family of victims that are here to have justice for Meshay and Layla."
