The residents of Kambi ya Juu and Kulamawe villages in the outskirts of Isiolo town in Isiolo county are up in arms over what they term as rising cases of criminality in the area. The residents led by Peter Juma, and Mohamed Abdullahi Dosike held demonstrations at the Isiolo police headquarters, accusing police of laxity when businesses are being broken into, and people killed in the two areas. The demonstrators demand a swift investigation into the murder of 25-year-old Isaac Mutethia, who was shot dead on Christmas Day. Isiolo Sub County Police Commander Christopher Meeme has assured the residents that justice will be served for the deceased.
