VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
This is a video tutorial of how to install a motorized automatic transfer switch with a low voltage disconnect module triggering a DC relay (on and off) on the DC side of the inverter.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The LVD (low voltage disconnect) module turns off the DC supply of the inverter via a relay when the set low voltage cut-off is reached. Then the ATS automatically switches to the DU (distribution utility) source, giving time for the battery bank to get fully charged by the solar panels and once it reached the set reconnect voltage, the LVD module turns on the DC supply of the inverter and the ATS switches back to the inverter power source. This process provides an almost seamless transfer from one source to the next.

The setup in this video is simply suggested only for those who have a simple off-grid ac inverter. I have tackled different example scenarios like having the Solar Off-Grid Power Setup as the main power source and AC Distribution Utility as the backup power or vice versa. Also included the electric generator setup, matched with solar off-grid power and vice versa.
