Описание: The Ramdhuni Temple, situated at the boundary of Barakshetra Municipality and Bhokraha Narsing Rural Municipality in Sunsari, is being transformed into a religious tourism destination by constructing new religious shrines and enhancing existing structures.

According to legend, during the Treta Yuga, Lord Ram Chandra spent a night at this sacred location, kindling a fire during his exile (Barnabas). Lord Ram is also said to have left a pair of his kharau (wooden sandals) at this holy site.

Devotees from across the country and abroad visit the temple, believing it to be blessed by the touch of Lord Ram’s feet. The number of pilgrims has grown substantially since stakeholders began efforts to promote the temple as a key religious site.

The Ramdhuni Temple area is well-known for its large population of monkeys, which are considered an integral part of the temple's surroundings. These monkeys, often seen roaming around freely, add a lively and dynamic element to the temple environment. Many devotees and visitors believe that these monkeys are sacred and treat them with reverence, offering food and interacting respectfully.

The presence of monkeys at the temple may be connected to the legends surrounding Lord Ram and his connection with Hanuman, the monkey god and a central figure in the Ramayana. The monkeys' association with the site is seen by some as a reflection of Hanuman’s devotion to Lord Ram, making their presence culturally significant and spiritually meaningful for many visitors. However, they can also be mischievous, often stealing food or belongings, which adds both charm and challenge to a visit to the temple.
