Group Design Project for the company Lunasa Space that provided the requirements for this mission
This project is meant to reduce the costs of launch for cubesats and smallsats when they have to be launched on a very specific orbit (which is hardly possible with a simple launch share).
A first vehicle called "OTV" remains in orbit and as the purpose to bring an expandable cargo ship called "Shuttle" on specific orbits so that it can deploy its payload. The point of this is to centralise most of the propulsion systems and propellant ressources on the same vehicle (OTV) that will be able to dock with many shuttles during its lifetime to reduce the cost of space access.
As mechanical lead I designed the entire structure from scratch on Solidworks and did the preliminary steps of the AIT in order to integrate all the components provided by the other work packages (systems, mission, payload and electrical) in a way that optimises the overall mass distribution, mass, thermal compatibility, pointing paterns for payload, launcher separation and VIA/Shuttle docking.
