In this week’s Magic of the Seasons class, children will explore Ice through story, discussion, and hands-on sensory play.
We’ll talk about water as matter, discover how it changes when heat is added or removed, and learn why ice floats and how frozen ponds protect life beneath them in winter. Children will investigate these ideas through ice painting and ice excavation, allowing curiosity and experimentation to guide the learning.
Inspired by Waldorf philosophy, this class blends early science with imagination and seasonal rhythm in a way that feels meaningful and developmentally appropriate.
