Kanangra-Boyd National Park sprawls across more than 68,000 hectares, a testament to the untamed beauty of the Australian wilderness. A milestone moment came in 1997 with the official declaration of the Kanangra-Boyd Wilderness, now the second largest wilderness area in New South Wales, surpassed only by the Wollemi.

Encompassing a staggering 111,000 hectares, this wilderness sanctuary extends its embrace over both Kanangra-Boyd and Blue Mountains National Parks, preserving their natural splendor for generations to come.
