Cuba Dance Fesitival: Miguel Faílde en Memoriam hosted by Orquesta Faílde

Описание: Danzón is the official music and dance of Cuba, and they'll be celebrating in Matanzas March 30th to April 2nd! The first composition of danzón ' Las Alturas de Simpson ' was created by Miguel Faílde in 1879 in the city of Matanzas itself, and it´s been a big part of the cultural heritage of Matanzas ever since. The official name of the festival is El Encuentro Internacional Danzonero "Miguel Failde in Memoriam", and it will be hosted by Orquesta Faílde. This is an international event and they'll be celebrating with more styles than the traditional danzón. If you're anywhere in the vicinity, it's worth a trip to Matanzas to celebrate music and dance with the locals.
