Kaiser Permanente nurses are striking for a third week outside Roseville Medical Center, demanding better staffing and wages to enhance patient care, as contract negotiations for 31,000 California and Hawaii nurses remain stalled. About 50 picketers, members of the United Nurses Associations of California and the Union of Health Care Professionals, representing registered nurses, midwives, rehab therapists, dieticians, and nurse practitioners, gathered at the main intersection outside Kaiser’s Roseville Medical Center for hours on Wednesday.
