Oil palm fruit harvest by workers in rural Mizoram plantations

Описание: Many workers gather ripe fruit bunches from Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis) in plantation fields of Mizoram, India. Using long cutting tools, they harvest the heavy, reddish-orange palm fruit clusters and collect them on the ground. The workers then lift and load the freshly cut bunches into a vehicle carrier for transport to local markets or processing units. The activity reflects the growing importance of oil palm cultivation in the region, where plantations are expanding to support edible oil production.
