That took a while, but we finally finished our investigation of Actinopterygii, the ray-finned fish. Now let's look at the other major clade within Osteichthyes, the lobe-finned fish of Sarcopterygii. This is the clade that gave rise to the tetrapods, like amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. Let's start by looking at coelacanths and lungfish.
