Barshong Monastery is located under Khaling gewog at Barshong village. It’s a 10 to 15 minutes drive from Khaling gewog which is roughly 9-10km away from Khaling.
The Monastery was established in 2002 by Zuri Trulku Rimpoche, the Monastery has hundreds of monks under the Guidance of Zuri Trulku Rimpoche.
Inside the Temple main statu is Buddha in middle, right hand side is Guru Padmasambhava and left handside is 8th Gelwa Karmapa.
Marme Monlam or butter lamp offering prayer is a very sacred prayer conducted only during special occasions, during which hundreds or thousands of butter lamp is lighted for the benefit of all mother sentient beings.
It is believed that all those who attend the prayer will be born at same pure land of Buddha or the Zangdopelri.
This marme Monlam was conducted during the first sermon of the lord Buddha.
