Kokē FRS6617, a Fredlo Custom Recording, released in 1966. According to Downstate Sounds, the Velvet-Tones were a quintet based in Burlington, Iowa. This cover of a 1965 release by The Remains features Gary Johnson on lead vocals. The Kokē imprint was named for Delbert Henry Koke, who owned and operated Koke TV and Radio in nearby Monmouth, Illinois, and served as the group’s manager and agent.
