I checked into ‪@watergatebayhotel‬ never wanted to leave. Perched right on the beach in North Cornwall (near Newquay) with insane views of the ocean, if you’re a seaside lover, this might be your dream hotel!⁣

🏖️ FACILITIES⁣
Here you can gaze out at an ocean sunset from a 25-metre infinity pool, watching the surfers and maybe a dolphin or two! There’s an outdoor hot tub, sauna, and soothing spa treatments, which I indulged in after a long day exploring the coast. To fully experience the Cornish culture, guests can hire surfboards and arrange lessons directly from the hotel. ⁣

🍽️ DINING⁣
You really don’t need to leave Watergate Bay when you have three incredible spots to eat. Dinner at Zacry’s was a real standout - an elegant brasserie for fine dining with a focus on local Cornish produce. There’s also The Living Space for laid-back lunches and cocktails with a view, while The Beach Hut is a feet-in-the-sand spot right below the hotel, casual, buzzy, and top-tier fish and chips. Breakfast at the hotel is included in your stay, and might serve the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted - not to be missed!⁣

🛌 ROOMS⁣
I stayed in one of the seven Beach Lofts and woke up to sunrise over the surf. Soft coastal tones, giant beds, and a massive freestanding tub by the sea facing windows – I’ve truly never stayed anywhere like it! One night we ordered room service to just enjoy the views from our private loft! The Beach Lofts have their own guest pantry which is stocked with a complimentary afternoon charcuterie selection and cakes/baked goods, and in the morning you can help yourself to breakfast, which includes freshly baked pastries, a freaking waffle machine + complimentary champagne and a Bloody Mary bar!!! The lofts also have private access directly to the beach so you can go from bed to the water in seconds! There are 69 rooms in total, most with sea views. Rates start around £250 with breakfast + access to the pool & spa areas included.⁣
