This trek is a hidden gem in the Saryu Valley of the Bageshwar district, Kumaon. While popular spots like Pindari Glacier get all the attention, the Ratpair Bugyal – Danu Top – Nagthal Top circuit offers a pristine, offbeat experience with some of the best panoramic views of the high Himalayas, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Nanda Kot.
Trek Overview
This is an easy-to-moderate trek suitable for those who want to avoid the crowds and experience authentic Kumaoni culture.
Region: Kumaon, Uttarakhand (Bageshwar District)
Maximum Altitude: Approx. 3,450\text{ m} (Nagthal Top)
Duration: 6–8 days (including travel from Bageshwar)
Best Time: April to June (for lush meadows) and September to November (for clear mountain views). Winter treks are also possible for snow lovers.
